I advise all my small business owners to know their working capital numbers and to save at least a half of a month's worth of their expenses.I have them take all the expenses due in the first 10 days of the month and keep that amount in their account at all times. For those who have never had that cushion, they quickly realize how freeing and how great it feels to know that two weeks of low business, or mandatory closing wouldn’t sink their business.

Felipe Abreu has made a name for himself as a photographer, entrepreneur, editor, and cultural and social media expert. His art is soon to be featured in The Louvre museum in Paris, France. In 2011 Felipe started in photography and he wanted to present his work, but he didn’t have the budget to employ a promoter. So, along with help from his girlfriend, who has a degree in communications, Felipe taught himself how to master social media and market his work.
