Join other Pasadena-area real estate investors at our For Investors By Investors meeting which is usual the second Thursday of each month. The Pasadena FIBI group provides an environment for intimate and informative round-table peer discussions on relevant topics and to provide feedback about current deals that members are working on. The second half of the meeting usually includes an update about the economy and what that means to us as investors in today’s financial environment. All FIBI meetings are based on a NO SELLING format, allowing investors—whether seasoned or just starting out—to be free to share about their real estate passions without being bombarded by sales pitches.  If this sounds like you, please come to our meeting on Thurs., April 11th, at the Courtyard by Marriott on 180 North Fair Oaks Avenue. Arrive at 6:30 for our 7pm meeting to take advantage of the early networking opportunity and build your team of knowledgeable professionals that can support your investments.

April’s speaker will be Pasadena real estate attorney Greg Anderson. He has a wealth of knowledge to share about the legal aspects of real estate investing, after specializing in this arena and managing projects firsthand for over 30 years. His informative presentation will address the following topics:

1. The advantages and disadvantages of holding real estate in an entity.

2. What the contract looks like for syndicated deals.

3. Purchase and sale contract provisions from both the buyer and seller perspectives.

Since 1976, Greg Anderson’s Pasadena law practice has specialized in transactional real estate law, construction law, major commercial and residential real property acquisitions and sales, financing, leasing, and ownership entities, including partnerships, joint ventures and limited liability companies. As a longtime partner in Cantwell-Anderson, Inc. (CAI) real estate development and management company, he has overseen dozens of real estate projects and managed more than 25 limited partnerships and limited liability companies, which have owned or developed a variety of income and for-sale residential and commercial properties. He graduated Magma Cum Laude from the University of Southern California and earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University School of Law. Visit the Law Offices of Greg I.
